Dress Code and Social Guidelines

  • Parents must supervise their children at all times. We have had complaints about some children using the Ballroom, Bride's Room and Ladies Room as play areas. The Ballroom may be a great place to run around, but it is a significant intrusion to those in the dining room. Damages have already been incurred to furnishings in the Bride's Room, and the stairway leading to the balcony is a safety issue. The restrooms are not to be used as recreational areas.
  • Children are not to be seated at the bar or linger in the bar area. It is not a place for children, and it is illegal.
  • This cocktail area has always been and will remain a place for adult conversation and for those over the age of 21. No Exceptions.
  • The dress code for the Porch is "smart casual" which means that frayed, torn, or faded jeans, sweats, running or warm-up suits, shorts, sneakers or athletic wear of any kind, are prohibited. Shirts must be collared and have sleeves. Children under the age of 14 years are not allowed to be seated in the Porch Area unless otherwise stated for a special occasion. Consequently, no member will be seated in the porch area unless appropriately attired, without exception.
  • The staff has been directed to seat members with non-conforming attire in the Viking Room, Ballroom or Outside Patio area in summer months.
All of the above guidelines will be enforced. Failure to uphold these rules will result in remedial action.
